A virtual private network, VPN, is an independent and secure communication infrastructure created with the use of special technologies and encryption within our data network environment or on the internet.

Although the VPN uses a shared communications environment, it is invisible to other users and from the customer’s point of view, it acts as a completely separate private network. Today, VPNs are commonly used by businesses as well as public administration. They are often part of critical infrastructures.
