České Radiokomunikace plans to offer a unique private cloud
The new service goes by the name CRA Business Cloud Private. This service combines the benefits of the virtual cloud, Pay-As-You-Go services and private storage.
Prague, 21. August 2017 – České Radiokomunikace (CRA) is expanding its range of cloud services. CRA has developed a new service for customers that wish to have their data under more control. The new service goes by the name CRA Business Cloud Private. This service combines the benefits of the virtual cloud, Pay-As-You-Go services and private storage. The security surrounding this service meets the requirements of the GDPR regulation, which will become effective in May 2018.
“Over the past several months, we have intensively worked on developing a new cloud service that would sufficiently accommodate for the new security directives and also customers, that require their data and applications be more secured, but do not want to, or cannot use standard shared cloud services. CRA Business Cloud Private is a unique service in the Czech Republic. It combines the most interesting properties of the classic virtual and private cloud,” says CRA Sales Director Miloš Mastník.
CRA Business Cloud Private combines the elasticity of the cloud, based on the Pay-As-You-Go model, where the customer pays according to how much they actually use the service, and at the same time it offers a separated infrastructure with different configuration and an isolation level, similar to that of a private environment. This solution is suitable for operating sensitive, demanding and exposed applications and storing sensitive and personal data.
The CRA Business Cloud service, which the private cloud is built on, offers companies of all sizes computing power and storage (IaaS) precisely according to their current needs with guaranteed availability (SLA) 99.99 %.
CRA regularly invests into its cloud services for companies and associated data centre innovations. Annual investments reach several tens of millions of Czech crowns. Besides increasing capacities and performance, emphasis is primarily put on increasing data centre and cloud security. CRA is building its infrastructure in such manner to be prepared for storing and processing personal data. CRA services are currently prepared in compliance with new regulations pertaining to sensitive and personal data – GDPR, which will become effective 25 May 2018.
