CRA is launching more commercial stations on its DAB B network, this time from the Londa Group: Impuls, Český Impuls, and Rockzone. CRA's network now covers more than 83% of the Czech population and allows for regionalisation of broadcasting.
CRA's DAB network is divided into eight regions, meaning that in each of the eight defined regions, stations can deploy different content. This is a commercially interesting tool, especially for private radio stations, to ensure effective advertising targeting.
"The entry of private radio stations into DAB broadcasting is a major breakthrough, with this important sector of broadcasters actively embracing digitalisation and wanting to work towards its development. We all recognise that radio needs digitalisation. We very much appreciate the cooperation with the Londa Group, which operates radio stations with high listenership," says Miloš Mastník, CEO of CRA.
Listeners can now tune in to 12 digital stations on CRA's DAB network, many of which have higher coverage than FM.
